Recap: LCTC 2017

Another amazing convention in the books as plans are well underway for the 2018 Lexington Comic and Toy Convention. And despite fighting the lovely crud going around – it’s the Kentucky weather – I still managed to go the very last day. It worked out perfectly because Sunday wasn’t as busy as the other two days. On another note, there seemed to be a lot more people cosplaying this year than in others past. Perhaps next year, yours truly will cosplay.

Everything ran very smoothly and a few new additions were made to this year’s LCTC like live coverage from the event floor. At first glance, it reminded me of the wall scene from Resident Evil: Apocalypse – minus the guns and zombies. There was also the introduction of an app that allowed convention goers to stay one step ahead. Before such a creation, attendees had to keep up with paper copies of event schedules. Those paper event guides could easily be lost before you know it.

Besides the app and live coverage – there were also more signs posted throughout the venue with helpful information for con goers. It is no surprise why Lex Con is one of the best conventions out there. All and all, it was an awesome time and I can’t wait until next year.
