For the first time in ages, Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble is shelving its usual holiday suspects (A Christmas Story, A Christmas Carol) and dusting off a different beloved classic instead.
And yours truly couldn’t be more thrilled.
Debuting on TV in 1965, A Charlie Brown Christmas has spent six decades helping families crown the tree, mantle, or whatever passes for holiday central in your house. This one hits me square in the nostalgia—bet it does you too, dear reader.
In just under two weeks (running November 28 through December 27), Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, and the whole Peanuts gang will shuffle onto the Alvina Krause stage in Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble’s A Charlie Brown Christmas.
Expect the classic mix of heartfelt holiday melancholy, Snoopy’s rooftop doghouse antics, Lucy’s five-cent psychiatry booth, and enough good grief-fueled highjinks to warm even the grinchiest heart.

It wouldn’t be the holidays without extra Christmas magic—and BTE is delivering. Depending on the day you attend (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday), you’ll unwrap a different gift of cheer.
Lifetime memories? Guaranteed.
